William Edward Riker (1873–1969) founds the Perfect Christian Divine Science and takes it on the road for 9 years.

1914

After having been married twice, Riker meets Lucille Schutrum Jensen (1874–1950) in Omaha, Nebraska. They become a couple. Irvin B. Fisher convinces Riker to change “Science” to “Way.” Lucille Schutrum Jensen arrives in San Francisco with Riker and her parents.

1918

Articles of Incorporation are filed for the PCDW.

1919

Riker buys the Holy City property.

1921

Schwartz lawsuit and charges of swindling, sexual abuse, and immorality.
